An opportunity has arisen to join our exciting and dynamic team, as a tree surveyor based in Merseyside. 



Dependent on experience

We are proud to be recruiting for a full-time Tree Surveyor to work in the North-West. The primary function of this post is to undertake tree surveys and reports throughout the works area, using a variety of techniques, working closely with our clients.



  • To develop systems of surveying and reporting in line with industry standards, best practice and client requirements.


  • To undertake tree surveys and assessments throughout the works area, in line with standard tree survey and reporting requirements. 


  • To produce survey reports detailing recommendations in line with relevant BS standards. 


  • Undertake all necessary Risk Assessments to comply with Idverde Lone Working policy. 


  • To liaise regularly with clients developing a partnership approach and ensuring good communications.  ​



  • To implement safe systems of work at all times in line with Health and Safety legislation, complying with Risk Assessments and Method Statements ensuring a safe working environment prior to the commencement and implementation works.​

  • To support the line manager in liaising with contract clients and members of Idverde staff to ensure an integrated and professional approach to contract delivery throughout the operational area.​

  • To support the line manager in undertaking daily checks on personal equipment ensuring that it is safe and complies with Health and Safety legislation reporting any damage to the line manager immediately​

  • To maintain tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner ensuring that all equipment used is returned to base and stored securely​

  • To support the Team Leader and Arb Manager in developing new contract works throughout the operational area​

  •  To support the line manager in purchasing all necessary materials required to deliver contract works to agreed budget constraints

  • NVQ Level 5 Tree work or equivalent 

  • Minimum 5 years working within the industry 

  • Ability to use surveying software systems and awareness 


  • Technical award in Professional Tree Inspection

  • National Diploma in Arboriculture or Forestry.

  • AA Technicians certificate in Arboriculture
