Following on from the success of last year's event, on Tuesday 3rd August, one of our Arboricultural teams and Grounds Maintenance teams helped out at the Knowsley Council community day in Roby and Swanside.
Assist attended to carry out tree works and grounds maintenance services, with the view of enhancing local environments and making them more appealing to the wider community. Some of the tasks that were carried out on the day included; hedge pruning, grass mowing, strimming and installing bird boxes in trees.
James McGrady, Director, commented: “Assist are passionate about improving local communities. As part of a long-standing relationship with Knowsley Council, we have taken part in the action day for a number of years, helping to improve the appearance of local areas. Receiving good feedback from local residents shows the positive impact that the work carried out on action days has on the wider community. ”
Councillor Colin Dever, Knowsley Swanside Ward stated: “We have received really positive feedback from residents on the work delivered today. Please pass on my gratitude, you have a good team! We are looking forward to your support at our next event, in March 2020.”
