Following on from the success of last year, on Friday 28th November one of our North-West Arboriculture teams attended Knowsley Council’s ‘Action Day’ in Swanside as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The Swanside Councillors are both active and innovative in developing ways to improve the community and its sustainability. CSR is one way of leveraging resources from the private sector to support the community they operate.
Assist attended the day to plant a range of new trees, helping to improve the local area and make it more appealing to the wider community.
Completed during National Tree Week, this voluntary work demonstrates the positive impact the addition of well-maintained trees can have on a community.
James McGrady, Director, commented: “Assist are passionate about improving local communities. As part of a long-standing relationship with Knowsley Council, we have taken part in the action day for a number of years, helping to improve the local communities for residents. We hope to be play a part in the continued success of the action days during 2019.”
Councillor Colin Dever, Knowsley Swanside Ward stated: “We’d like to thank Assist for their continued support of our Knowsley action days. Without the support of businesses, these events wouldn’t be possible. We look forward to welcoming them back to help us with more community initiatives in 2019.”
