In game one, the GB Teachers will play against a Spanish squad consisting of Spanish international players based within the Spanish Leagues.
Game two will see the team pit their strength and whit’s against the full Spanish Rugby League squad including players from leagues across Europe.
Head of Rugby, Scott, says "I am delighted to welcome the Assist Group as our main tour sponsors, with their interest in sports and recreation it seemed a perfect fit to carry the branding on our 2017 tour kit and team wear. The tour will be our toughest test to date, facing a very strong and organised Spanish international side but we are preparing well and are up for the challenge!"
GB Head coach, Marc Simon added " As coach of Great Britain Teachers I am extremely happy to announce that we have gained another major sponsor for our upcoming tour to Spain. After a highly successful tour In Poland, coming away with two victories against plucky regional and national sides, we will this year be tested much more seriously by a Spain national team that has been playing very competitive matches against the likes of Italy and Wales. We have been constantly evolving, and have now developed a playing side that is far more competitive than ever, with some excellent young talent that has been hiding within the ranks of teachers and educators.
The link with the Assist Group is a natural fit, as with the work they do in providing opportunities and training for workforces across the country, endorsing Great Britain Teachers RL seems like a no brainer. We are very happy to bear the logo on our tour kits, and look forward to working with the Assist Group in promoting their business to those who would benefit from the connection."
